  • Outdoor Recreation - Outdoor enthusiasts who visit Sisters can fly fish for trout and salmon in the Metolius River or one of many alpine lakes. Miles of scenic trails are available for hiking, horseback riding, or mountain biking. Mountaineers have no shortage of peaks to climb, and there are plenty of developed and undeveloped places to camp. Winter recreation includes both Nordic and Alpine skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing, and snowmobiling.
  • Festivals - Sisters, Oregon also has many fun events scheduled throughout the year. These include the Hoodoo Winter Festival in February, a folk festival in September, and the Mountain Bike Festival in October.

Attractions

  • Black Butte Ranch – This popular vacation recreation is just a few miles northwest of Sisters. Guests of the ranch can enjoy a variety of recreation including golf, tennis, swimming, and horseback riding.
  • Sisters Rodeo – Every June the town hosts the Sisters Rodeo - one of the most popular rodeos in the Western states. Cowboys call the town “The Biggest Little Show in the World” because of this rodeo.

Getting Here

To get to Bend from Sisters, take Hwy 20 southeast. There are many places along the way to stop and explore the beautiful countryside, view wildlife, or have a picnic.
