Overview
Off the beaten path deep in the Deschutes National Forest of Central Oregon is a small ski mountain known as the Willamette Pass Ski Resort. With incredible views of the Cascade Mountains and 430 inches of pristine powder each year, Willamette Ski Resort is a great winter destination. Six lifts give skiers and boarders access to 555 acres of skiable terrain with a vertical drop of over 1,500 feet. There are also two terrain parks, a tube park, and 20 kilometers of Nordic trails.
Location
Willamette Ski Area is about 72 miles southwest of Bend. To get there take Hwy 97 south to Gilchrest. Turn right on Crescent Cutoff Road and follow to Hwy 58. Turn right onto Hwy 58 and follow for about 10 miles to Odell Lake West Access Road (NF-5810). Follow the signs to the ski area. The nearest town is Cascade Summit.
Season/Hours
Willamette Ski Area usually opens right after Thanksgiving and closes at the end of March. Hours of operation are 9 am to 4 pm, Thursday through Sunday for day skiing and riding, and 12:30 pm to 9 pm Friday and Saturday for twilight skiing and riding (starting in mid-December).

Willamette Pass Ski Resort offers a variety of services to its guests, including a ski and snowboard school, a full service rental shop, a cafeteria-style restaurant, a retail shop, and ski and snowboard lessons for all ages from professional instructors.
