State Parks

The area of Central Oregon is known for the great outdoor recreational opportunities found here. Central Oregon is home to twelve well-known State Parks and numerous lesser-known ones. Some of the State Parks are designated as day use areas only, while others are excellent sites for camping and extended recreational activity. A partial list of the great places to visit while in the area include Cline Falls State Scenic Viewpoint, Deschutes River State Recreation Area, Heritage Landing, Jasper Point, Alpine State Park, Peter Skene Ogden State Scenic Viewpoint, Pilot Butte State Park, Prineville Reservoir State Park, Smith Rock State Park, The Cove Palisade State Park, Tumalo State Park, and White River Falls.
