Sisters Holiday Celebration
The great little western town of Sisters, Oregon – not far from Bend – holds an annual introduction to the Christmas holiday season each year by staging a tree lighting ceremony and parade. Generally occurring the last weekend of November each year, the Sisters Holiday Tree Lighting and Parade is a wonderful way to begin the holiday season.

As a kick off to the holiday season, the small little western-themed town of Sisters, Oregon holds a tree lighting ceremony and holiday parade. The Tree Lighting Ceremony takes place on a Friday in the local park. This is followed by a holiday parade the next day – Saturday. Floats, local organizations including bands and dancers, and individuals join the parade through town. Of course, no introduction to the Christmas season would be complete without the appearance by Santa and Mrs. Clause. This is fun for the entire family.
