Sponsored by one of the local banks, the Bite of Bend is held in June each year in Downtown Bend. The event was created as a way to raise additional funds for various local Central Oregon charities. This fast growing charity event is a great place to get a taste of all that the restaurants and eateries in Bend have to offer.

Overview: The Bite of Bend was begun as a way to celebrate Central Oregon's local culture and a means to display and reflect the food of the area. In addition to tastes and displays of food provided by numerous eateries, cafes and restaurants, a local market place showcases food and farm produce grown in Oregon. While browsing the numerous and varied booths, you can be entertained by local artists.

Details: One of the few events/festivals in Bend that is free to the public, the Bite of Bend also includes a wide array of family fun activities including a children's area and a performance stage. For the adults attending, enjoy a beer garden and wine tasting. All proceeds from the event are given to local charities.
